That _is_ strange - I think I hear the twilight zone theme playing...  Anyway, in case you're
interested, I've posted a JPG image of the upper left corner of the screen at:

You can see the second dropdown in the image.  Very weird.  

So if there's no explanation - then I'll simply continue to ignore it...
