Hmmm. I've looked in both the Linux and WinXP versions of 8.2 and the 
sources window is at the top left. It's got one drop-down menu at the 
top labled 'Sources for:' with "Synthesis/Implementation", "Behavioral 
Simulation", "Post-Translate simulation", "Post-Map simulation" and 
"Post-Route simulation" selections. And that's all I see - no second 
drop-down with 'Number of'.

Strange. You must have a 'special' version. :)
